JetPeel Skin Treatment.

The JetPeel jet pressure energy device generates pressurised air, which is accelerated in order to manipulate liquid into fine misty jet streams. These jet streams, travelling at a speed of over 200 m/s, are applied to the skin surface with the patented JetPeel handpiece, a wand-like instrument available in a range of sizes and configurations for specific treatments and conditions. As it travels over the skin, the handpiece generates continuous fine liquid jet streams that provide a lymphatic massage followed by exfoliation of the epidermal layer, and then gently stretch the skin surface for the infusion of specially suited liquid solutions.

Skin and Ageing.

Skin and Ageing.

Many things cause our skin to age. Some things we some we can influence, others we can do nothing about . The skin has three important layers: the outer epidermis, the middle dermis and the inner subcutaneous fat layer. The epidermis is a thin layer that contains the pigment that colours your skin. The thicker dermis layer contains hair follicles, oil glands and blood vessels. The inner, fatty layer serves as a protective barrier to your organs. As you age, the epidermis gradually thins and pigment levels decrease. This results in thinner, paler skin. You may also notice sunspots from UV exposure, known as solar lentigo.

RETINOL VS RETINOID: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?

Other types of retinoid are retinoic acid or retinol palmitate so if you see these labelled on an ingredients label, they all work towards the same goal: brighter, smoother skin. Trans epidermal Water Loss – What is it and How to Stop It

If you are struggling with dehydrated or dry skin, one of the causes may be trans epidermal water loss (TEWL). You're losing water and moisture from your skin. TEWL can lead to a variety of dry skin conditions — including severe dehydration — but there are ways that you can keep your skin hydrated or prevent dryness from occurring in the first place. What Is Trans epidermal Water Loss? To understand TEWL, let's revisit the layers of our skin. Our skin is made up of three primary layers, the outermost being the epidermis (aka what you look at in the mirror). The dermis is the middle layer, and the hypodermis is the innermost layer. TEWL occurs when water passes from the dermis through the epidermis and evaporates through the skin barrier.
