Dermaceutic Dual+ Corrective Serum 30ml
Targeted correction for blemishes, post-inflammatory marks and uneven pigmentation
Dermaceutic Dual+ is an advanced corrective serum specifically formulated for skin experiencing both imperfections and uneven pigmentation.
Its multi-action formula combines two forms of azelaic acid with alpha-arbutin and hexylresorcinol, targeting the relationship between blemishes, inflammation and the persistent dark marks that can remain after a breakout.
Rather than focusing only on visible pigmentation, Dual+ helps address several factors involved in an uneven complexion, making it particularly suitable for blemish-prone skin that develops post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH).
Why we recommend Dual+
A blemish doesn’t always disappear when the inflammation settles. In some skins, inflammation stimulates increased melanin production, leaving a brown or grey-brown mark that can remain visible for weeks or months.
Dual+ has been formulated to address both sides of this cycle: helping improve blemish-prone skin while targeting the appearance of pigmentation and post-inflammatory marks.
With consistent use, skin can appear clearer, smoother, brighter and more even in tone.

The Science Behind Dual+
Azelaic Acid
Azelaic acid is a multifunctional ingredient particularly useful where blemishes and pigmentation occur together. It has anti-inflammatory and keratinisation-regulating properties and can also influence tyrosinase, an enzyme involved in melanin production.
This makes it particularly valuable for skin prone to developing pigmentation following inflammation.
Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate
A derivative of azelaic acid combined with glycine. It complements azelaic acid and is used to support clearer-looking skin, more balanced tone and improved appearance of redness and imperfections.
Alpha-Arbutin
A targeted brightening ingredient that acts on the tyrosinase pathway, helping reduce excessive melanin production and improve the appearance of existing areas of discolouration.
Hexylresorcinol
A potent brightening ingredient that targets pathways involved in pigmentation, complementing alpha-arbutin and azelaic acid to promote a more even-looking complexion.
Who Is Dual+ For?
Particularly suitable for:
Acne and blemish-prone skin
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)
Dark marks left following breakouts
Uneven pigmentation
Congested skin and visible pores
Uneven skin tone and texture
It may also be appropriate for some rosacea-prone skins, particularly where inflammatory blemishes and uneven pigmentation coexist. However, rosacea is complex and highly reactive skin should be professionally assessed before introducing active corrective skincare.
How to Use
Begin by applying in the evening to clean, dry skin, concentrating particularly on areas of concern.
Introduce gradually and increase frequency according to skin tolerance. Dermaceutic advises that use can progressively increase to up to twice daily.
For sensitive or rosacea-prone skin, we recommend introducing Dual+ more cautiously following professional skin assessment.
Follow with an appropriate moisturiser.
Morning use
When used in the morning, always finish with a high-protection broad-spectrum SPF 50+.
Daily photoprotection is an essential part of any pigmentation programme. UV exposure can stimulate melanogenesis and contribute to the persistence and recurrence of pigmentation.
Professional Advice
Pigmentation is not one single condition. Melasma, sun-induced pigmentation and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation can have different triggers and require different treatment strategies.
For best results, we recommend a professional skin consultation so that Dual+ can be incorporated into a programme appropriate for your skin, alongside suitable antioxidant protection, barrier support, professional treatments and daily SPF.
Key ingredients: Azelaic Acid, Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate, Alpha-Arbutin and Hexylresorcinol.
Professional note: If the skin is actively irritated, sensitised or experiencing a significant rosacea flare, we recommend addressing inflammation and barrier function before introducing corrective actives
