Skinade - Better skin from within

Skinade - Better skin from within

The collagen matrix in your skin’s dermis is responsible for skin support, firmness, elasticity, hydration, and the constant production of new skin cells. The more collagen you have, the more healthy, elastic and supple your skin is and the more youthful it appears. After age twenty, we begin to lose collagen, resulting in skin ageing, wrinkles, fine lines, and dry, blemished, and thinning skin.

Skinade is a multi-award winning, anti-ageing collagen drink, made from marine collagen peptides sourced from the skin of fresh-water fish, and crafted to boost your body’s natural production of collagen and hyaluronic acid. It’s liquid form (vs tablet) allows for better absorption of essential micronutrients scientifically designed to re-build your skin’s collagen matrix. It reduces oxidative stress in your skin, increased hydration and natural hyaluronic acid products. Skin’s tone, texture, hydration, suppleness, and overall appearance is improved within thirty days.

How long until I see results?
Individual result will vary but, with continued daily use, your skin will continue to improve.
• After four to six days skin is softer and more hydrated.
• After ten to fourteen days skin is more smooth, radiant, glowing, and more uniform.
• Between two to four weeks skin starts to appear firmer and fuller with a noticeable reduction in fine line and wrinkles.
• After the four to six week skin-renewal cycle, the improvements continue to build.

What’s the science?
Collagen accounts for 75% of youthful skin, forming the main structural element in the collagen matrix in the dermis. Skinade’s patent-pending formula utilises high-grade collagen and essential micronutrients to help your body rebuild and strengthen the skin’s collagen matrix. The hydrolysed marine collagen peptides in skinade have a low molecular weight so is easily absorbed. Collagen improves skin elasticity by increasing the density of fibroblasts (the cells responsible for rebuilding connective tissue) and improves skin hydration and reduces fine lines and wrinkles.

Drinking skinade also stimulates the body’s own natural collagen production. When the body senses collagen in the blood stream, it stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts reinforcing the collagen matrix and playing a critical role in wound healing.

This dual action makes skinade a highly effective as part of your skincare regimen. Consumed on a daily basis, skinade helps to return your body to a younger state of collagen production, resulting in a more youthful appearance.

More skinade FAQs

What does skinade taste like?

Skinade contains the all-natural flavours of peach and mangosteen to make it a pleasant tasting drink.

Why is skinade not a tablet?
To consume the same level of essential nutrients and collagen peptides you would have to take at least 20 large tablets. Collagen tablets are more difficult to ingest and assimilate into the body and are only partially absorbed. The collagen and essential ingredients in skinade are in liquid formulation and 90% to 95% are absorbed by the body, while tablets offer an absorption rate of only 30% to 40%.

Why do I need to improve the collagen levels in my skin?
From about the age of 20 onwards we lose between 1-1.5% of the collagen in our skin each year. From the age of 30 collagen production is significantly reduced. Collagen loss results in wrinkles, fine lines and dry, blemished or thinning skin. Skinade contains collagen peptides that trigger the body’s own natural process of collagen formation by stimulating fibroblasts, thus encouraging the body to produce more of its own collagen.

Will skinade only help the skin on my face?
Your skin is the largest organ in your body, and collagen is a critical part of the structure of the dermis and gives our skin its youthful appearance. Skinade will benefit the skin on all parts of your body.

Are the 7000 mg of collagen in skinade enough?

Some products contain more collagen. Skinade contains 7000 mg of patented collagen peptides with an unsurpassed molecular weight of just 2kDal. Fibroblast proliferation (stimulation of the cells responsible for collagen production) occurs at around 6000mg. Skinade is unique as it is 100% in solution which ensures 90% to 95% absorption. This level of bioavailability can never be matched by tablets or powders suspended in liquid. Fibroblast proliferation either occurs, or it does not, and increasing collagen levels beyond 7000mg does not increase efficacy. It is important to note that collagen peptides are only able to function when combined with appropriate levels of vitamin C, which is why there is 450% of the Recommended Daily Amount (RDA) in every bottle.

Why does skinade not contain hyaluronic acid (HA)?
HA taken orally is denatured by digestion and there is no scientific evidence that any HA reaches the skin. However, when you ingest the high quality collagen peptides contained in skinade your body naturally produces hyaluronic acid in the dermis. This is where HA is most needed.

What is the difference between marine sourced collagen and other sources of collagen?
Collagen can come from a number of different sources, mainly animal. The collagen in skinade is sourced from freshwater fish as this avoids the possibility of mercury and other heavy metal contamination as well as high levels of sodium, which is more common in saltwater fish.

I usually take a daily multi-vitamin – should I continue taking it with skinade?
skinade contains a vitamin B complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B7, B9 & B12), vitamin C and the fatty acids omega 3 & 6. You should not need further quantities of these vitamins unless your doctor advises differently.

Who makes skinade?
