In her own words:
I hold a diverse educational background that has enabled me to excel in the field of skin care and regenerative treatments.
My journey in the world of Nursing began at Trinity College Dublin, where I earned my primary degree. This comprehensive education laid the groundwork for my successful career as a nurse specialist.
Continuing my educational pursuits, I completed a Postgraduate Certificate at Cardiff University, further deepening my knowledge in skin health skin cell processes, how skin heals and how to target this exceptional phenomenon at a cellular level to improve client outcomes, especially in the area of chronic disease inflammation and skin healing.
I then honed my skills and expertise in specialized areas by completing a Higher Diploma at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). This comprehensive training focused on Tissue Viability and wound healing equipping me to address a wide range of skin concerns and cater to the unique needs of clients with specific sensitivities and conditions.
I have worked in the areas of Dermatology and Immunology for over 10 years.
In the last number of years, I have worked and trained with experts in the field of medical aesthetics allowing me to utilise my skin knowledge and apply it in the area of dermatology as it relates to aesthetic practice. One of the cornerstones of my practice lies in the application of cutting-edge regenerative treatments.
Three key procedures that have delivered remarkable results to my clients:
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy:
PRP therapy harnesses the healing properties of a client’s own blood to rejuvenate the skin naturally. Through a simple process, a sample of the client’s blood is. drawn and then spun in a centrifuge to separate the platelets, rich in growth factors. These concentrated platelets are then skilfully injected back into targeted areas of the skin. PRP stimulates collagen production, which enhances skin elasticity and promotes skin rejuvenation. Clients experience a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, and scars, achieving a more youthful and revitalised appearance.
During the Cell Matrix PRP treatment, a small amount of the patient’s blood is drawn and processed to isolate the platelets. These concentrated platelets are then combined with a cell matrix, which is a scaffold-like material that helps to deliver the PRP to the treatment area and enhance its effects. The cell matrix acts as a carrier for the PRP, providing a supportive environment for the growth factors and other bioactive substances to work effectively. It helps to prolong the release of growth. factors, allowing for a sustained regenerative response in the treated area. Cell Matrix PRP treatment is commonly used in various medical fields, including dermatology and orthopaedics, to accelerate healing and tissue regeneration. In dermatology, it is used for skin. rejuvenation, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars, and improving overall skin. Texture and tone.
The treatment is minimally invasive and is typically performed as an in-office procedure. The combination of PRP and the cell matrix offers a powerful and natural solution for promoting tissue. repair and stimulating collagen production, leading to a more youthful and revitalized appearance.
Peel Treatments:
I offer a carefully selected range of peel treatments tailored to address various skin concerns. These treatments utilise a blend of gentle acids that exfoliate the skins surface, removing dead skin cells and stimulating cell turnover. This process targets concerns such as acne, hyperpigmentation, and dull complexion, leaving the skin with a rejuvenated and radiant appearance. The peels are customised based on the client’s unique skin type and concerns, ensuring safe and effective results.
Hyaluronic Acid Skin Boosters and Dermal Fillers:
Hyaluronic acid skin boosters are non-invasive treatment that replenishes the skin; s moisture levels, enhancing skin hydration and promoting a youthful, plump complexion. The procedure involves tiny injections of hyaluronic acid into the skin, improving skin texture and restoring a natural glow.
Dermal fillers, on the other hand, are expertly applied to restore lost volume, smooth out wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. With a keen eye for artistry, I use dermal fillers to achieve natural- looking results, ensuring that clients feel rejuvenated and more confident in their appearance.
In my practice, I am deeply committed to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring that each client receives personalized attention. By staying at the forefront of advancements in skin care and regenerative treatments, I continually strive to deliver the most cutting-edge solutions to enhance my clients natural beauty and promote their self-confidence.
